Russia hold eSailing National Championship final

Sergei Avdonin won the inaugural Russian eSailing National Championship Final, held in partnership with Virtual Regatta and the Russian Yachting Federation.

Three qualifying events were held to determine the top 12 players to take part in the live final.

The final took place on 31st August and involved six races, with one discard allowed for the eSailors.

Winning the title for the first time was Avdonin, who was the gold winner of the RC44 Virtual Cup, a multiple winner in (and the organiser of) the Runduk Cup, and is a current racer in the Arttube Rus 1 team.

In second was Vladislav Burmistenk, a national sportsman of Russia, and in third was real-life Optimist coach Alexey Voloshenko.
