The first Swiss eSailing National Championship involved over 400 participants – and now eight will battle it out in a bid to be crowned the inaugural Swiss eSailing Champion
The final, presented by Swiss Sailing partner Aon, will take place on 17th August in Brunnen SZ during Windweek, and will be open for the public to attend
Following the launch of the first eSailing World Championship in 2018 by World Sailing, the Swiss eSailing National Championship kicked off this year on April 1st, concluding on August 7th. The overall number of 420 participants is a clear record for a Swiss Sailing Championship!
The eight finalists come from a variety of backgrounds. Amongst them are an orthodontist, a student, a service technician, a physicist and a plumber, with the oldest finalist aged 58 and the youngest aged 15. They are based all over Switzerland – Aargau, Zurich, Thurgau, Geneva, Vaud, Friborg and the Basel countryside – while most of them are also sailors in the real world.
We would like to welcome you to attend the final – it starts at 2pm at the Windweek marquee on the Swiss Abroad Square in Brunnen SZ (www.windweek.ch).
